Of grooms and groomsmen

nullWho makes an ideal groomsman? A groomsman is someone that the groom will heavily rely on to make his wedding day as successful as it can be. Typically someone whom the groom holds dear such as close friends, family or mentors, a groomsman’s responsibility is to see to it that the groom gets all the help he can get during all the stressful challenges that a wedding brings.

And so to any groom, a groomsman is a very valued man to have during the wedding. He does all the work while the groom is concerned with his lovely bride. From seating the other guests in their correct seats, making sure the elderly and physically challenged are looked after and taken care of and attending to all the little details that might potentially ruin everything, he will hold down the fort in the name of loyalty and camaraderie.

So to a groom, there is no amount of gifts in the world that can do justice to what a groomsman does for him. And by tradition, he gives the groomsman a small token of his gratitude for all that he has done for him. It really doesn’t matter what it is, a tuxedo stud set, a pair of cufflinks, a cufflink box or something a bit more expensive and sophisticated, as long as the message is clear that the bond between a groom and his groomsman is there to last a lifetime.
